Welcome and welcome back to Nipissing University! Orientation events are designed to provide you with information on various aspects of graduate studies at Nipissing. Both new and returning graduate students are welcome to attend any Orientation-related events.
Graduate Student Orientation Day
Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
New Graduate Student Orientation 2026 Registration
Please save the date for the Graduate Student Orientation. Orientation will consist of a tour, presentations, lunch, and program specific breakout sessions. Students who register will receive meeting information via email.
- 9:00 am - Education Centre Tour (Optional) - Meet at NU Front Entrance
- 10:00 am - School of Graduate Studies Information Q&A

Graduate Teaching Assistant Training
2026 Date TBA
Graduate students who have been assigned a Teaching Assistantship position for the 2025/2026 academic year will be required to attend this session. Learn about best practices, professionalism, mentorship and more useful tools to guide you through your role as a Teaching Assistant.
Funding Your Graduate Degree Webinar
Friday, September 25th, 2026 at 1:30 pm
During this webinar, new and prospective graduate students will learn to navigate the different scholarship and funding opportunities offered both externally and at Nipissing University. Learn about the different deadlines, submission requirements, and tips for applying as you look to fund your graduate degree.
