Action Against Gender Based Violence Committee (AAGBVC)
About the Committee
At Nipissing University, we are committed to fostering a campus free from sexual and gender-based violence. The Action Against Gender-Based Violence Committee plays a crucial role in advancing this mission by implementing the recommendations set forth by the Sexual Violence Task Force (June 2020).
The Action Against Gender-Based Violence Committee is also responsible for identifying opportunities to continue to work towards eliminating sexual and gender-based violence on campus.
The Committee Chair, supported by the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Coordinator, oversees the committee’s initiatives and ensures alignment with university-wide efforts to promote safety and awareness.
Through proactive measures, education, and collaboration, the Action Against Gender-Based Violence Committee remains dedicated to fostering a safer and more inclusive campus community.
