Accessibility Transition Program

The Accessibility Transition Program (ATP) helps students registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) connect with supports, build confidence, and become part of the campus community as they prepare for their academic journey. ATP is free and you can take part online and/or in person.

Students who have submitted a SAS Registration Form will be invited to take part in ATP through two opportunities:

ATP: Launch is our online orientation, delivered via Blackboard, that introduces students to SAS services and supports, provides an overview of what to expect in the months ahead, and guides them through the process of accessing academic accommodations.

To enroll:

  1. On the Nipissing University webpage, go to “My Nipissing” in the top right corner

  2. Log into your student account and search for “ATP-STUDENTS Accessibility Transition Program (ATP)”

  3. Click “Submit” to enroll in the organization

To return to the orientation:

  1. Click on “MyNipissing” at the top of the Nipissing University webpage and select “Blackboard Learn” (log into your student account, if prompted).

  2. Select “Organizations” on the left-hand menu.  You will see ATP: Launch listed.

ATP: Connect events take place in late August and include a quieter, early move into residence, finding classes and social events. Students will also get personalized support from the SAS team.

*Our 2026 events were a great success!  We encourage you to access the online orientation and resources available below.*
